Rest in His Grace (Fly pt. 3)

Met with grace

By Destiney McIntosh

As I walk my pace

I am met with grace

As I run this race

I am met with grace

When I’m stuck

In a hard place

I am met with grace

When I feel displaced

I am met with grace

And there is nothing that I did

To deserve this gift

But the moment I came into relationship

I received

His grace

What a reason to rejoice

And sing

Glory to the king

For I was weak

But now I am made strong

Because I am met with His

Grace

My devotional this morning described a moment when you’re weary on the ground, and being shaded by God.

And it made me think of that eaglet. This moment in between falling and flying, when you hit the ground and don’t know if you have the strength to go on. You don’t know if you have the strength to carry on.

And in this moment, you are covered by God. As you regain your strength, the courage to carry on. Because, it’s not easy to get back up after being knocked down. There are insecurities that try to swarm. The voices that tell you it’s not worth it to get back up, try and creep in.

But as you rest, God is covering you. His word says that he is with us where ever we go (Joshua 1:9). He was there when you were falling. He’s there when you hit the ground. And he’ll be with you when you fly.

It’s okay to rest. That’s what I’m learning. Things knock us down and it’s okay to need a minute before you get back up.

Even when you are on the ground, you are covered by his grace.
